About this Event
Over one in five American adults are family caregivers to another adult. It is a meaningful and important role. But, how is this growing role impacting workplaces and their employees? Join the Alzheimer’s Association and Purdue Extension on Tuesday, April 14 as we explore this topic. Come with your questions and experiences. Light refreshments will be available. Speakers include:
- Kourtney McCauliff, VP of Consulting Services with Purple Ink, will share information on benefits, like FMLA, and what family caregivers and employers should know about utilization of these and similar benefits. Also, how employers and employees can have productive conversations around balancing family caregiving and work.
- Ashley Drees, Purdue Extention Health & Human Sciences Educator with Purdue Extension, will share information and resources related to caregiving and workplaces, including a focus on dementia and new advancements related to the disease.
