Join Danbury United for Immigrant Rights (DUFI) for our "Families Belong Together Days of Action," a series of canvassing days starting May 9th! We're hitting the streets to educate neighbors, build community trust, and promote our new DUFI Helpline. We need volunteers to canvass, help spread the word online, identify local partners, and support this crucial effort to strengthen our community's voice.
Our campaign will kick off with a press conference on Saturday, May 16th

Our community is under attack. In recent months, ICE has escalated its presence across Connecticut—storming courthouses, swarming neighborhoods, and abducting our immigrant neighbors in broad daylight. Danbury has become the epicenter of this violence, with daily raids and intimidation targeting immigrant families.
Fear has become a roadblock for families to access crucial resources to be prepared in case a loved one is kidnapped by ICE. That's why we're hitting the streets to educate our neighbors, build community trust, and promote our new DUFI - Danbury Unites For Immigrants Helpline.
Never canvassed before? No worries, we'll do a short training at 10am to provide you with all the instructions and materials you need to have a successful experience!
This campaign is all about meeting our neighbors where they are. Through direct, friendly conversations, we aim to build trust, share resources, and strengthen the bonds that make our community resilient. We can't do it without you!
