The first in a year-long series on Christian Virtue, with Little St Mary’s and St Bene’t’s.This event will take place in the parish hall at Little St Mary's, on Trumpington St near Peterhouse College.
Coffee from 10.30am, with the event beginning at 10.45am. There is a 10am Mass, to which all are welcome.
The Revd Dr Cally Hammond is the Dean of Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. She began her academic life as a classicist, first at Oxford and then at Cambridge, where her research on the Roman historians taught her the value of stories and narratives as a way of communicating truths and beliefs. This has stood her in good stead for thinking about the Gospels and the early Church. As well as working in academic life in Oxford and Cambridge, she spent seven years in full-time ministry in rural parishes in the diocese of Ely. She is the author of Passionate Christianity: A journey to the cross (SPCK, 2007) and Joyful Christianity: Finding Jesus in the world (SPCK, 2009).
