About this Event

Houses of Faith Restoring Faith in Housing

Is your congregation ready to make a real difference in San Antonio's housing crisis? Join us for the Faith in Housing Kickoff Event to discover how your faith community can become an active partner in creating housing solutions that match your unique capacity and calling.

What is Faith in Housing?

Faith in Housing is a city-wide initiative launching in March 2026 that equips 20 San Antonio congregations with training, resources, and ongoing support to address housing challenges in meaningful ways—from education and volunteering to advocacy and developing affordable housing on underutilized church property.

What You'll Learn at the Kickoff:

At this informative session, you'll discover:

  • How the Housing Impact Spectrum framework helps congregations identify their best-fit engagement track (Educate, Volunteer, Advocate, or Build)
  • What the cohort experience includes: hands-on Discovery Workshops, Housing Navigator training, peer learning, and implementation support
  • Practical ways your congregation can serve vulnerable neighbors—from hosting resource fairs and supporting seniors with home repairs to advocating for universal design principles
  • How to apply to join this collaborative network of congregations working together to increase housing stability across our community

Why Attend?

Every participating congregation will designate and train a Housing Navigator who serves as a trusted point of contact to help congregants and neighbors access programs and resources that increase housing stability. This is your opportunity to learn if Faith in Housing is the right fit for your congregation and how to apply.

Application Timeline: Applications open March 24 and close April 10, 2026.

Presented by: The Impact Guild's Good Acres program, with support from San Antonio Area Foundation, Reframing Housing, LISC San Antonio, San Antonio Housing Trust, and SACRD.

Light refreshments will be provided. Come with questions and leave with a clear vision of how your congregation can help restore faith in housing for all San Antonians.
