Join us for a celebration of the latest teen exhibition, Minor Inconvenience , opening on December 17 at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver.
Minor Inconvenience will be on view through March 7. (Please note that MCA Denver will be closed from February 16 through March 4 for the installation of new exhibitions.)
All tickets include access to MCA's current exhibitions until 7PM.
About the Teaching Artist
Anise Aiello is a Denver-based artist, educator, and small business owner. Her fine arts practice is grounded in her interest in health equity and work at Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. Aiello spent 5 years in the California Bay Area, attending Mills College and California College of the Arts (CCA) before finishing her degree at Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2024. She worked at Magnolia Editions in Oakland, California, and received the 2018 - 2019 Nancy Cook Travel Fellowship for writing and photography. Since 2019, she has worked on her Mammography Quilt Project, exhibited at the Center for Visual Arts Denver (CVA) and Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea. Her senior thesis, Confluence, featured works addressing women's health issues and was exhibited at the CVA in 2024. Aiello's public practice efforts led to her role in the Ecopoiesis project in partnership with CCA and the Presidio Trust, a community arts initiative currently traveling internationally.
Aiello is a teaching artist focusing on transdisciplinary education for youth and teens. She leads the Moxie Magazine teen program at the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. She's also led STEAM education and outreach programs for 8 years at schools, museums, and institutions nationwide. Her partnerships include NASA, McREL International, Boys and Girls Club, Art Association of Jackson Hole, Pinedale Fine Arts Center, University of Denver, Denver Botanic Gardens, Anythink Libraries, I Have A Dream Foundation, and Kent Denver School. Aiello also runs her print and clay studio in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.
