Waltz the night away among the fairies, pixies, goblins, redcaps, wizards, sorceresses, enchanted princesses, charming princes, intelligent cats, and Fairy Tale characters of every other description at the most magical ball of the season!Celebrated Celtic Fusion band Avalon Rising plays enchanting dance music from the 16th through the 21st Centuries, including vintage ballroom dance music, set and country dances, and dance music that both ballroom dancers and free-style dancers will love - and, of course, a variety of the most hauntingly beautiful waltzes that will transport you to Faerie. There will be a pre-ball vintage ballroom dance class and all set and country dances will be taught and called.
Fantasy, fairy, or fairy tale costume from any tradition is admired, but not required. Period costume (authentic or creatively "mixed"), vintage evening dress, Steampunk attire, or modern evening dress is also welcome, as are perfectly normal mortals. Decorative masks, either worn or hand-held, are optional. While wings are very welcome on our Faerie creatures, be sure to wear wings you can dance in (this is probably not the best night to sport a giant wingspan!).
Complimentary light refreshments will be served and our celebrated No Host (Cash) bar will be available for most of the evening.
