About this Event
“Facing the Sea” – Photography & the Power of the Sea to Heal
Join us for the opening of Facing the Sea at ZAZ10TS Lobby Gallery, a new exhibition by acclaimed photographer Daniel Tchetchik in collaboration with HaGal Sheli (My Wave).
For over two decades, the sea has been central to Tchetchik’s work, serving as a metaphor for external forces and inner human emotions. In this collection, the sea becomes both witness and terrain for stories of trauma, endurance, and renewal. Through these portraits, viewers are guided from shoreline to soul, entering an emotional landscape where the sea becomes a space of reflection, survival, and rebirth.
Each subject pictured is a participant in HaGal Sheli’s surf-based therapeutic programs where surfing becomes a path to rebuilding strength, reconnecting with self, and reclaiming hope.
Come and meet Daniel Tchetchik, Yaron Waksman (Co-founder & CEO, HaGal Sheli), and Eden Shmuel (HaGal Sheli participant and Nova Festival survivor) as they explore creativity, trauma recovery, and the power of the sea. RSVP required.
Admission is free with RSVP, and complimentary drinks will be provided.
