In this hands-on series, artists will explore a variety of creative surface design techniques using dye, bleach, and ink to create bold, one-of-a-kind pieces.Perfect for tweens, teens, and adults (or families who want to create together!), each class focuses on a different technique and project—so you can join us for just one or dive into all four!
✂️ Class Options:
June 1st - Shibori: Japanese Dyeing Techniques
Explore the art of folding, binding, and dyeing fabric to create beautiful indigo-style patterns.
Projects: T-Shirt + Pillowcase
June 8th - Reverse Tie Dye
Flip traditional tie dye on its head using bleach to create striking, high-contrast designs.
Projects: Zipper Pouch + T-Shirt
June 15th - Bleach Stencil & Block Printing
Design your own patterns using stencils and block techniques with bleach for bold, graphic results.
Projects: Pillowcase + T-Shirt
June 22nd - Permanent Marker Bleed Technique
Use vibrant markers and alcohol to create flowing, watercolor-like designs on fabric.
Projects: Scarf/Handkerchief + T-Shirt
Ages: 10+ (younger artists welcome with an adult – great family activity!)
⚠️ Important Notes:
Some techniques involve bleach and alcohol spraying, which will take place outdoors for ventilation.
Protective goggles will be provided and required during these portions of class.
Please wear clothes you don’t mind getting messy!
