Fables @ Aesop's (2nd Thurs of every month)Fables at Aesop's is proud to present evenings of open mic celebrating the art of the spoken word, hosted by local poet Pagan Paul. Sign up from 7pm, performances from 7.30pm.
This month, it happens to be International Limerick Day! So we are encouraging people to bring along limericks to perform at Fables during their slots, and there will also be a chunk of time set aside in the second half for people to get up and share a limerick or two, without doing a full slot.
We're changing the opening time of Fables to 7pm to give people a chance to get there after work, with performances running from 7.30pm and finishing around last orders at 9.30pm.
The night will be totally unplugged and we encourage a culture of quiet listening.
As part of the Presence open mic family, we work with the same basic ethics, standards of behaviour and respect. We provide a safe space for performers to express themselves and present their art to an audience.
