Our little rough creature sees the light of day. May I introduce our new album La Plume Du Dimanche. It tells of endeavour, of hope and disappointment, of beauty and hardship.
One set of acoustic music, two musicians, one living in Paris, the other in Berlin, share the same weakness for improvisation, for psychedelic folk, for jazz, and experimental music, but also for the beauty of a melody. Despite their different approaches, the two artists ask themselves the same questions: music as life energy, music as a playground and as a means of exchanging experiences and feelings. �
On May 1, they will share their music in the form of a release concert for their new album at Donau115. �The album La Plume du Dimanche will be released on the Parisian label Wopela. Recorded by Raphaël Allain and François Longo at Studio 12ter Montreuil. Mixed and mastered by Martin Ruch. Produced by Fabiana Striffler and Karsten Hochapfel.

Fabiana Striffler is a German violinist and composer who was nominated in 2022 for the Deutscher Jazzpreis.�In 2021, she released her third album Archiotíc: « More coherent than ever (…) allowing virtuosity and humor to dance around each other (…) in a way rarely heard » Deutschlandfunk Kultur. Radio Bremen Zwei describes her as one of the « most sought-after violinists in German jazz and pop ».
Karsten Hochapfel is an instrumentalist, arranger and composer in the trio The Archetypal Syndicate (trance-rock), Odeia (songs of the world), La Cosmologie de la Poire (music from an imaginary world), Fabiana Striffler & Karsten Hochapfel (chamber duo).�He is also a cellist and/or guitarist in different groups: Le Cri du Caire (Victoire du Jazz 2023), Matthieu Donarier’s Bestiare, the 4tet/5tet/6tet of Louise Jallu, Naissam Jalal & the Rhythms of Resistance.
