About this Event
Join We Are Explorers CIC for a series of free creative workshops this Autumn at Bolton Central Library. Over the course of 6 weeks we will be exploring different art forms, in a relaxed, neurodivergent-friendly setting. These sessions are for young people aged 11-18yrs and free to attend.
What to Expect
Each session is led by a friendly, LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent professional artist, supported by two youth workers.
Sessions are open, flexible, and shaped by the interests of the young people attending.
You’ll be welcomed at the door, introduced to the session, and supported throughout by our facilitators.
The space is designed to be inclusive and accessible – come as you are, create as you like.
When and where do sessions take place?
Dates & Time: Tuesdays, 4–6 PM, From 2nd September – 14th October 2025
Location: Bolton Museum and Central Library
We will be running our sessions at the Bolton Museum, using the classroom and exhibition space in the Bolton History section.

We will also have signs posted throughout the museum to help you find your way from the entrance, as well as members of staff to point you in the right direction.

Who are We Are Explorers CIC?
We are an organisation striving to create engaging and safe Neurodivergent-friendly spaces for the LGBTQ+ community. We run social and creative groups for young people and adults across Wigan and Bolton. We also specialise in delivering training on the intersection of Neurodivergence and LGBTQ+ identities.
