The Library of Congress houses millions of materials, including some of the most historical and culturally significant pieces of media in America’s history. While Washington D.C. is a bit far to travel, that doesn’t mean you can’t access some of the amazing pieces of this collection. The digital archives include over 900 million unique files, from maps to music and more.A few parts of the collection that we’ll be highlighting include: website archives, sheet music collections, historical maps, personal letters from historical figures, and Chronicling America, an initiative that has digitized hundreds of newspapers from around the United States and territories.
This event is part of the America 250 initiative; celebrating our nation throughout the year. This program is intended for adults. No registration is required.
