About this Event
Experimental Poetry is a great way to explore innovative, nontraditional forms of poetry and to get your creativity flowing. Participants will be introduced to several Experimental Poetry techniques, such as cut-up poetry and erasure poetry, and will be guided through the creation of their own experimental poems.
No previous poetry writing experience is necessary. First-time poets are welcome as are experienced poets. Multilingual poets who write in languages other than English are also very welcome.
** Materials will be provided on-site.

About the artist:
Hanan Hazime is a multidisciplinary artist, creative writer, community arts educator and, creative writing instructor living in Tkaronto/Toronto. Hanan has a Master of Arts degree in English Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Windsor. Her writing has appeared in a number of publications including The Windsor Review, and on CBC Arts. Aorta, her first poetry chapbook was published by ZED press in 2018. Hanan is currently working on a novel and book of poetry.
When not writing or creating art, Hanan enjoys reading fantasy and science fiction novels, overanalyzing things, photo-blogging, dancing with faeries in the woods, and drinking copious amounts of tea.
