About this Event
Renowned artist He Qi opens a limited-run art exhibit in Napa. His bold use of color, embellished forms, and expressive brushwork blends Chinese folk art with Western influences spanning the Middle Ages to modernism. His work has been described as, "Chagall meets Matisse meets Picasso meets the East."
The Grand Opening features an immersive multimedia presentation of He Qi’s work, accompanied by “Touch,” a musical composition by acclaimed composer Allan Robert Petker, inspired by He Qi’s art. The Napa Methodist Cathedral Choir, joined by an orchestra, will perform as He Qi’s art is projected and displayed, creating a richly layered multisensory experience. An art exhibition and reception will follow the performance.
He Qi will be in attendance for the Grand Opening, with original works and prints available for purchase. All ticket proceeds benefit the CANV Napa Valley Food Bank.
