"The Intruder delivers (without preaching) a strong statement against the evil of bigotry."- Jet MagazineOn Wednesday, April 23rd, Exhumed Films and the Colonial Theatre proudly present Roger Corman’s THE INTRUDER (1962) from an incredibly rare 35mm print!
William Shatner stars in his most shocking role as a man purporting to be a social reformer who insinuates himself into a small Missouri town to stir the pot of racial tension to a boiling point.
Directed by the late Roger Corman, the legendary producer/director of low budget exploitation and genre pictures, THE INTRUDER, is a rare anomaly in the director’s canon: a daring, serious film with a serious social message. Corman claimed it was the first film he ever lost money on, but regardless of its financial success, THE INTRUDER is a bold, dynamic masterpiece that is rarely screened and deserves to be seen.
Written by Charles Beaumont, one of the lead writers of THE TWILIGHT ZONE, who was also responsible for the scripts for Corman’s classics THE PREMATURE BURIAL, THE HAUNTED PALACE and MASQUE OF THE RED DEATH.
The show will begin at 7pm.
Tickets: $15 which includes a $5.00 processing fee.
