About this Event
“Exhale” is an immersive evening that blends sound, meditation, and live music with readings from BIPOC authors and activists, fostering transformational rest, reflection and self-discovery. Atlanta-based harpist, activist, and sound practitioner Angelica Hairston will guide the experience, using her mastery of the harp to create a space for healing and liberation. Known for her ability to engage audiences and amplify the voices of the African Diaspora, Angelica harnesses the power of the harp as a force for deep renewal.
At Exhale, participants are invited to engage in this powerful tradition of using music as a catalyst for change and renewal in our world. The event will feature world premiere performances of works by Black composers, live improvisations centered on rejuvenation, and interactive audience experiences, all designed to create a transformative space for collective healing and reflection.
Joining Angelica is guest Sound Healer Shawn J. Moore, a mindfulness practitioner who creates sacred spaces for stillness and self-inquiry, helping changemakers align their strengths and impact. With over a decade of experience in leadership development and mindfulness-based training, Shawn brings an integrative approach that includes meditation, sound healing, and yoga nidra. Together, Angelica and Shawn invite attendees to explore the deep connections between rest, personal reflection and collective liberation.
To create an atmosphere of relaxation, guests are invited to bring yoga mats, blankets, socks, or any other items that bring comfort. RSVP above for this FREE event!
