With Manus McGrogan – Artist & Tutor
These friendly sessions are designed for home-educated young people accompanied by a parent or carer. Themes to include portrait, figure drawing, illustration and cartoon.
PORTRAITURE: 9.30-11am Mondays in January 2026
Learn to observe, structure and bring portraits to life — from proportion and likeness to expression and personality.

Both sessions encourage parents/guardians to join in the artmaking if they wish — it’s a shared, creative experience, while the main focus remains on developing young artists’ skills (ideal preparation for GCSE or A-Level Art).

All materials provided.
🎶 Atmosphere
A relaxed musical setting (can be adjusted or silenced to accommodate sensory needs) with refreshments — creative and welcoming for both adults and students.
💷 Cost
£30 per student per session
This includes one accompanying parent or carer who may also take part. Concessions are available - please contact the tutor.
👤 About the Tutor
Manus McGrogan is an experienced artist and life-drawing tutor (and former secondary school languages teacher), who has led numerous portrait and figure-drawing sessions across Brighton & Hove. View his work and classes @manusartworld on Instagram or Manus Art World on Facebook
