Richard grew up in Northern California before graduating from UCLA and later California Western School of Law in 1996. Grandson of Proposition 13 author Paul Gann, Richard naturally practiced law in the field of real estate taxation before becoming an executive with Grubb & Ellis (now Newmark), where Richard transitioned his career to syndicating 1031-qualified investment programs. Richard has been securities licensed since 2003, including series 6, 7, 24, 63, 65 and 79.
