About this Event
The first few weeks of new motherhood can be difficult, to say the least. Between the sleep deprivation and physical recovery from the birth process, your body can feel like it's been to battle.
Join us for a baby-and-me workshop with Katie Prezas, lactation consultant and owner of Empowering Lactation, and Alison Saum, pelvic physical therapist with Envision Pelvic Health to learn tips on how to:
- Find the most comfortable position for nursing or bottle feeding, focusing on relieving strain on your neck, shoulders, back, and wrists
- How to protect your recovering body while lifting the stroller or carrying the car seat
- Do simple stretches and exercises to provide relief for areas of the body that are already sore
Bring your baby, car seat, and stroller with you for this hands-on learning opportunity.
