Dr. Salvatore Iaquinta will explore the concept of “wonder” and how Dutch graphic artist M.C. Escher (1898–1972) wanted to “see the world for both what it is and what it could be.” He will also explore some of his most iconic works, including Relativity, Snakes, Horsemen, and Double Planetoid.Dr. Salvatore Iaquinta is a lifelong M.C. Escher enthusiast. His love for Escher started as a student at the University of Wisconsin in Madison where he saw his first Escher exhibition in 1992. He regularly contributes his expertise and art to museum exhibitions and serves on the Board of Directors for the M.C. Escher Foundation. In his spare time, he is a Head and Neck Cancer surgeon in California.
