Celebrate Juneteenth and Father’s Day by rediscovering and honoring the stories of three Black founding families of Pullman’s North End.
About this Event

Join the Historic Pullman Empowerment Organization and the Pullman State Historic Site for a leisurely 3-mile bike ride to learn about the African-American workers and families who lived and worked in the North End of Pullman during the 1880s and 1890s.

Meet at 610 East 111th Street, Chicago, IL 60628. The Pullman State Historic Site is directly accessible from the Metra Electric District’s 111th Street – Pullman Station. Registration is limited to 15 bicyclists per tour.

Divvy bikes are available for free on a first-come, first-served basis; arrive 15min early to secure your bike.

All participants must sign a Release of Liability form, which will be emailed in advance and available in person on June 20th.

Event partners: 9th Ward, 5th District, Calumet Area Industrial Commission (CAIC), Roseland Chamber of Commerce, Rescue 8, National Park Conservation Association, Divvy, and community residents.
