About this Event

Life Steps Foundation proudly presents its first Every Day is Earth Day 5k Run/Walk/Hike/Bike virtual benefit event. All proceeds from the event will benefit the work we do with children who may have been diagnosed with learning delays or developmental disabilities, as well as adults with developmental disabilities and seniors.

Life Steps Foundation Group, which includes all our programs, is planning this event. Our Children and Family Services program works to maximize the development of infants and toddlers (birth to 5 years old), who have or are at risk for developmental delays, and educate and support their parents in strengthening parent/child relationships. The Adult Services programs empower individuals to become involved in their life management, make informed choices, and participate in self-advocacy. Our service model recognizes the unique challenges that people with developmental disabilities encounter and our programs address them all, from independent living and personal fulfillment to parenting and family preservation. Our Senior Homemaker Program provides personal care services like assistance with laundry, meal preparation, and bathing and dressing, to older adults over the age of 60 who reside in San Luis Obispo County, City of Lompoc, and City of Santa Maria Valley.

Virtual Event (Online)

The virtual event will be open for a week. You will be able to complete the race at your own pace starting Saturday, April 26th until Sunday, May the 4th. Run, walk, hike, or bike around your neighborhood, park, street, and track or on a treadmill. Don’t forget to tag us and share your journey with us!

HOW IT WORKS: (IN 7 STEPS)

1. Complete registration to event. (Please ensure your address is correct to receive your package and an acknowledgement letter.)

2. Receive email confirmation.

3. Get your friends, family, classmates, co-workers, and community to sign up for the 5k race. It's always more fun together!

4. Receive email with estimated delivery date of items for run.

5. Wait for your package to arrive, which will include a t-shirt, a race bib, and a eco-friendly medal.

6. You have from December 3rd to December 11th to complete the virtual 5 kilometers or 3.1 miles around your neighborhood, park, block, street, track or on a treadmill.

7. Share your accomplishment! Take a picture showing that your completed your virtual run and/or post it on social media using the hashtag: #LSFED5K2022

Ticket:

General registration is NOW available!

General registration is $30.00 per runner. Each registration ticket includes a t-shirt, a race bib, and a medal made of sustainable material. If you choose to register the week before the event, you will receive your items AFTER the event finishes.

DONATE! You can also donate to this event. Just click on "Tickets" and donate any amount. You can also donate through our website www.lifesteps.org/donate. Every amount makes a difference.
