Players by the Sea PresentsEVERY BRILLIANT THING
A Unique Theatrical Experience
Written by Duncan Macmillan with Jonny Donahoe
Starring Lindsay Curry & Jillianne Tamillo, performing in rotation
— A play about the lengths we'll go for those that we love. —
Every Brilliant Thing invites the audience into an intimate story of love, loss, and the small joys that make life worth living. After their mother’s attempted suicide, a young person begins compiling a list of everything brilliant about the world—ice cream, laughing so hard you snort, staying up past your bedtime. Through humor and honesty, the play becomes a life-affirming conversation about mental health and the extraordinary beauty found in the ordinary.
Content Advisory: Every Brilliant Thing deals with sensitive subject matter such as suicide and depression. Recommended ages 14+.

— HOW THIS PLAY WORKS —
1. The audience will sit on the stage, surrounding the actor. This unique perspective of the Mainstage Theatre and this play’s storytelling is a rare opportunity.
2. This is a solo play; our production will be performed in rotation by 2 actors. Lindsay Curry and Jillianne Tamillo are two extraordinary performers. The performance schedule is on the attached document!
3. Audience participation is part of the magic. Audience members help bring the story to life, reading list items, playing small roles, and becoming part of the narrator’s world.
4. Participation is designed to be at the audience’s comfort-level. Participation is voluntary, guided, and gentle. You can choose how much you would like to be involved in this storytelling.
