About this Event
Join the CHOIR for a night of singing ~ with the Werbeck approach.
This freeing and healing approach to singing created by Valborg Werbeck- Svardstrom and Rudolf Steiner removes hindrances through exercises that gently bring us into touch with the world of healing, resulting in the direct experience of well-being, giving us new perceptions of how our voices arise out of the perifery. This approach helps us to understand how our whole body can be shaped into an instrument that supports and carries our higher self through the ART of SINGING.
Frau Werbeck-Svardstrom, a famous Swedish opera singer, lost her voice completely from an overactive and unnaturally demanding career. This led her to discover and create over a period of many years, in collaboration with Rudolf Steiner what she called The School of Uncovering the Voice. This approach works not to train but to remove hindrances. Very gentle and imaginatively powerful exercises are practiced, helping the voice heal and become reunited again by degrees to the spiritual world. The result of this is health of the voice and health of the overall human being, they are inseparable.
