ALS SoCal is excited to present our fourth biennial festival this coming fall. This year the festival will be hosted at Pasadena Conservatory of Music for the first time, and we are excited at the upcoming collaboration with this fine institution.The date this year will be Saturday, November 22. The festival will celebrate the legacy of Franz Liszt and present a platform to showcase the talent of young musicians of Southern California.
The festival will feature a student showcase, featuring local pianistic talent. There will a special lecture on the development of the genre of nocturne by the PCM senior faculty member, Dr. Vatché Mankerian. And our Masterclass clinician will be Dr. Stephen Cook, the Executive Director at PCM. The festivities will conclude by the announcement of the Awards in three different categories.
