Mastering Motion Class Description:
Join photographer Boston Schulz at Samy’s Camera Pasadena for a classroom session and guided photo walk focused on mastering motion and autofocus. In this hands-on experience, you’ll discover how different shutter speeds can dramatically shape your images, and learn to make the most of Nikon’s advanced autofocus modes for both still and moving subjects. From freezing fast-paced action to creating dynamic motion blur, you’ll learn techniques then practice them in the real-world to expand your creative toolbox.
Mastering Motion Photo Walk Description:
Over the course of a 4-mile round-trip walk through Downtown Pasadena, we’ll capture a diverse mix of subjects: from colorful murals and striking architecture to lively street scenes full of people, cars and wildlife. Bring your favorite camera and lens. This session begins and ends at Samy’s Camera and is designed to inspire, challenge, and elevate your photography.
** The classroom is located on the second floor of our store. Access to the classroom is available via stairs. There is no elevator to the second floor.
Boston Shulz Bio:
Boston Schulz is a rock inspired music photographer based in Los Angeles, primarily self-taught, now with over 10 years of experience in concert photography. Dedicated to capturing the iconic moments of the stage, no matter the artist, Boston works freelance with various local artists & global publications. She also shares her photography learnings and insights on both her YouTube channel & podcast: “Taking Over The Photo Pit”.
