About this Event

Eugenie Jones is an award-winning American jazz singer, songwriter, and producer. She is a two-time Earshot Jazz Vocalist of the Year winner, the first-ever vocalist to receive the Earshot Jazz Recording of the Year Golden Ear award, a Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame Inductee, and a recipient of the International Jazz Journalist Association's Jazz Hero Award for her work intersecting jazz with community service.

Critics describe her as a warm, engaging entertainer with an electric stage presence and a "smoke & satin" vocal style. Her new album **Eugenie** currently ranks #5 on Jazz Week's Top 50, receiving accolades from critics around the world, including the New York City Jazz Record, where music critic Anna Steegmann describes Jones's release as a "winner."

The Ark of Music writer James Hittner says of Jones, " Her singing is the pain you bear and the joy you radiate. Her songs are equal parts lament and elation. She sings in the street at night when the monsters creep and the machines go silent. She sings when the sun shines and a baby smiles big. Eugenie Jones knows the tonal qualities of every conceivable emotion, and you'll find yourself enthralled by their collective musical punch. Is **Eugenie** good? No – it's giving, unforgiving, and emotionally grand: HIGHLY recommended."
