Fall 2024 UMass Lowell Center for Autism Research and Education (CARE) Expert Speaker Series
Adrienne Jennings and David Cox describe the transformative impact that artificial intelligence (AI) can have on behavioral health delivery and patient outcomes. The webinar will begin with an overview of AI, exploring its common types and foundational concepts.
Next, they will discuss several examples of AI in behavioral health settings, drawing on the latest research and practical examples to show how AI can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
Finally, the discussion will shift to the ethical considerations surrounding the use of AI in ABA, addressing key concerns and proposing strategies to ensure the responsible and ethical implementation of AI. Participants should leave the webinar with a deeper understanding of AI's potential in ABA service delivery and the ethical frameworks necessary for its integration into behavioral health practices.
The UMass Lowell CARE Expert Speaker series hosts professionals from around the country to provide information on topics related to helping individuals with autism and the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. This event is co-hosted by the UMass Lowell Masters of Sceince (MS ) in ABA and Autism Studies. The Expert Speaker series is open to the public for free and provides 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) for a fee of $20.
