The benefits of Breathwork extend far beyond the physical into the mental and emotional fields. Each person’s breath pattern is completely unique to their own life experience and can be seen as a metaphor for how they live their lives. Opening the breath up where it once had been constricted allows for a gentle release of old holding patterns on all fields of experience.This is one of the most powerful tools we have available to us and it is directly accessible. As we surrender to the higher intelligence that is our breath, we inevitably enter into a journey in which it is common to experience visions, insights and even a deep catharsis. The primary intent is simply to allow the breath to flow more openly in the body, to allow more life into our being.
Conscious Connected Breathing finds its roots in the teachings of Mahavatar Babaji but was pioneered in the western world by Leonard Orr and Sondra Ray through their Rebirthing Technique. There are many different systems of Breathwork that exist (Breathwave, Transformational Breath, Holotropic, etc.) all sharing one common thread of connecting the breath without a pause.
Breathwave is held in a ceremonial context with a focus on pattern integration through the breath.
In this journey, you will become familiar with the technique as you are guided in your own safe exploration of this powerful tool.
