Limited to 10 spots! July 11, 10am-2pm
EQ and compression are powerful tools. Used poorly, they can wreck a mix. Used well, they elevate everything.
This workshop is ideal for artists mixing their own work, early career engineers, and producers ready to refine their ear. You will work on real session material, apply subtractive EQ, shape tone intentionally, and learn how compression actually behaves.
You will learn:
How to read and understand the frequency spectrum
When to cut versus boost
How threshold, ratio, attack, and release change feel
How to avoid over processing
You will leave knowing when and why to use these tools, not just how to turn the knobs.
Workshops are held at Echo Mountain Recording in downtown Asheville from 10am-2pm. Limited spots available. Snacks and beverages provided at each workshop. On-site parking available and nearby street and garage parking available.
