Integrating Global Citizenship Education Across The Primary Curriculum
- EPV Day Approved by the Department of Education and Youth for Primary School teachers registered with the Teaching Council
- Ticket cost covers Eventbrite ticket processing fees, with the remainder spent on teaching resources which you will receive during the Summer Course
- Exploring active learning methodologies and resources for Global Citizenship Education in the Primary Curriculum Framework (2023) and associated Curriculum Area Specifications (2025), with an emphasis on the key competency of 'being an active citizen'
- A focus on critical Global Citizenship Education - approaches and tools for digging deeper into the root causes of global challenges and seeking interconnections between local and global issues
- Featuring guest speakers from Global Village partners
- Supporting School Self-Evaluation practices using Looking at Our School 2022: A Quality Framework for Primary Schools and Special Schools
- Lunch included!
Global Village is the strategic partnership for Global Citizenship Education (GCE) in Primary Schools in Ireland, between Irish Aid at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and a consortium of four partners: Dublin City University (DCU), Irish National Teachers' Organisation (INTO), Irish Primary Principals' Network (IPPN) and Trócaire.
