About the Artists:
Enver Izmaylov
A groundbreaking guitarist, Enver Izmaylov is known worldwide for his pioneering two-handed tapping technique and seamless fusion of jazz, Crimean Tatar, Balkan, and Turkish folk traditions. Enver has collaborated with legends like Bobby McFerrin, King Crimson’s Tony Levin & Pat Mastelotto, and Tommy Emmanuel.
Following a successful 2024 U.S. tour, including a sold-out show at DROM NYC and a headline appearance at Jetlag Festival, Enver returns in 2025 with a new live album, "Live at Jetlag Festival", and fresh collaborations on upcoming albums with The Klezmatics and Fugu Dugu.
Frank London
Grammy-winning trumpeter and co-founder of The Klezmatics, Frank London is one of the most influential figures in contemporary Jewish and world music. He has appeared on over 400 recordings and collaborated with artists such as John Zorn, David Byrne, Pink Floyd, Youssou N’dour, Lester Bowie, and Itzhak Perlman.
Beyond his work with The Klezmatics, Frank leads numerous genre-defying projects—from klezmer brass bands to avant-garde operas—and has composed scores for theater, film, and dance worldwide.
Matt Darriau
Matt Darriau has been a vital contributor to The Klezmatics since their early days, officially joining the band in 1995. A self-described "musical polyglot," Matt’s career bridges klezmer, jazz, Balkan, Celtic, and world music traditions. Growing up immersed in folk dance music, he developed a passion for global sounds that shaped his work with the Klezmatics and beyond. He leads projects like Paradox Trio and has collaborated with luminaries such as David Byrne, Itzhak Perlman, and Marc Ribot. Jazziz Magazine named him one of the most influential jazz musicians of the past 15 years for bringing Balkan rhythms and melodies into jazz.
