About this Event
The Community Connections event brings together the participants in the Enterprise Bridge Toronto, including immigrant entrepreneurs, local business leaders, student consultants, researchers, and community partners for an evening of networking, learning, and celebration.
Enterprise Bridge Toronto is a program designed to empower entrepreneurs through training, mentoring, consulting, and community connections that help create sustainable new businesses. This program is hosted by the Global Migration Institute at Toronto Metropolitan University, in partnership with the University of Notre Dame’s Urban Poverty and Business Initiative (UPBI) to tackle urban poverty in Toronto through entrepreneurship.
The Evening’s Highlights:
- The Impact Panel: A discussion featuring entrepreneurs and mentors exploring the program’s real-world impact and opportunities to strengthen economic inclusion for immigrant founders.
- The Marketplace: An opportunity to meet founders directly, explore their products and services, and engage with emerging businesses - from food to art to essential services - making meaningful contributions to the community. The businesses represent a vibrant mix of industries from artisanal products like artwork, chocolates, and specialty tea to essential services such as plumbing, cleaning, immigration consulting, and tutoring.
