What’s the cost?
Like other charities we rely on donations to help us cover our day-to-day running costs. We currently request a minimum £12 donation payable upon receipt of healing.
What if I miss this meeting? We meet every Monday (except bank
holidays).
Where is it?
Hop Gardens is off St Martin's Lane, a short stroll from Trafalgar Square and Leicester Square tube. On St Martin's Lane, look for the Cote Brasserie restaurant and the sign to Hop Gardens, a narrow path off the main road. The Friends Meeting House is on the left - look for our buzzer for admission. Once you enter, climb the stairs on your right to the first floor and come into the Hughes room.
What is healing?
Healing as practised at this Centre, being part of The Healing Trust, is a natural energy therapy that complements conventional medicine by treating the whole person - mind, body and spirit. Healers are thought to act as a conduit for healing energy, the benefits of which can be felt on many levels.
What is the purpose of healing?
To bring into harmony your mind, body and spirit; it is not limited to effecting only a physical improvement. While healing is occasionally achieved in one session, it is normally progressive and you may need to attend over a period of time before the full effects of healing are secured. Whilst many people have reported physical and/or emotional benefits from attending healing sessions, The Healing Trust cannot promise or guarantee any particular result.
How long has the centre been open?
We are approaching our 40th anniversary and have been at Hop Gardens for more than 30 years
Do I need to have faith in order to benefit from healing?
You are not required to have faith, nor to accept any particular religious belief. However, it does help the healing process if you have an open mind, and approach the treatment with a positive and expectant attitude.
How does healing affect conventional medical treatment?
Healing does not interfere in any way with conventional medical treatment, and you should continue to consult your doctor. If you wish to inform your doctor that you are receiving healing, you should stress that it is complementary to the medical treatment and not an alternative to it.
