Join us for a fun and inspiring evening exploring the art of encaustic wax — a captivating technique also known as painting with beeswax. This unique and wonderfully accessible medium allows you to create stunning artwork and intricate designs, all with the help of wax, heat, and a little curiosity.You’ll have the chance to try a variety of tools, including irons and a hot plate, and we’ll guide you through each piece of equipment before you choose what you’d like to use for your own creations. By the end of the session, you’ll take home three beautiful cards made entirely by you.
The best part is that you don’t need any artistic experience at all. The wax and tools do the magic, and no two pieces will ever be the same.
Suitable for beginners to the advanced. You do not have to be an artist or have any previous artistic experience to do this workshop.
Please do note that all our classes and workshops are adults only, therefore we only allow over 18’s to attend.
The session is £12.50, and all materials and refreshments are provided.
Please note booking is essential, we cannot accept walk ins on the day, full payment will also be required upon booking to secure your space. Please note that should you no longer be able to attend, we will be unable to move you to a different event or refund you due the cost of materials, unless we can fill your space.

We are located next to the pet shop and opposite the hairdressers.
As the name suggests we are located under ground, therefore there is no disabled access. However there are two large handrails to guide you down the stairs, and the area is bright and well lit.
There is ample free parking in the car park by the library and the co-op, please do however ensure that you check the time restrictions and areas that may be permit only.
And finally as we are an arts and crafts centre we therefore recommend that you always wear old clothes, or clothes that you do not mind permanent stains on, anything you wear or bring is at your own risk in terms of stains or damage.
