Transform a simple black cotton tote into a bold, eye‑catching accessory using the magic of bleach painting. In this relaxed, hands‑on workshop, you’ll explore how bleach can act as a striking “ink,” revealing warm, coppery tones on dark fabric and creating designs that pop.We’ll guide you through:
• How to safely and effectively use bleach as a painting medium
• Choosing and using pre‑made stencils for crisp, clean designs
• Techniques for brushwork, splatter, shading, and layered effects
• Tips for placement, composition, and achieving high‑contrast results
• How to set, rinse, and care for your finished tote
No drawing skills needed—our stencil library has plenty of shapes, motifs, and patterns to spark your creativity. All materials are provided, including black cotton tote bags, stencils, brushes, and protective gear.
You’ll leave with a unique, hand‑designed tote that’s perfect for gifting, shopping, or showing off around town.
£20 per person.

This is an over 18’s adults only workshop.
Please note booking is essential, we cannot accept walk ins on the day, full payment will also be required upon booking to secure your space. Please note that should you no longer be able to attend, we will be unable to move you to a different event or refund you due the cost of materials, unless we can fill your space.

We are located next to the pet shop and opposite the hairdressers.
As the name suggests we are located under ground, therefore there is no disabled access. However there are two large handrails to guide you down the stairs, and the area is bright and well lit.
There is ample free parking in the car park by the library and the co-op, please do however ensure that you check the time restrictions and areas that may be permit only.
And finally as we are an arts and crafts centre we therefore recommend that you always wear old clothes, or clothes that you do not mind permanent stains on, anything you wear or bring is at your own risk in terms of stains or damage.
