About this Event
We invite artists and the creatively inclined to spend a day painting, drawing or sketching en plein air on the grounds of Laurel Hill Mansion. This historic house in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park has a prominent location on a high bluff overlooking the river. It is said that the riverview from the back porch is not to be missed. The grounds of Laurel Hill Mansion form a small arboretum. Each tree is unique. The Amelia Earhart Tree that was gifted to Pennsylvania is on the grounds of Laurel Hill Mansion. . There are lots of cool, breezy locations on the old property to set up, including the back porch, a gazebo and the dozens of shade trees. No matter what your medium is pack your supplies and join us for a day of painting, sketching, photographing, making, under the shade trees of Laurel Hill Mansion. Bring your own supplies we have none to provide, bring your lunch too and enjoy a picnic.
