About this Event

Empowering Parents: Navigating Sexual Health Education with Confidence

As parents, it can be challenging to know how to talk to your child about sexual health in an age-appropriate and open way. This workshop offers practical guidance and tools to help you navigate these important conversations with confidence. Learn how to address topics such as consent, healthy relationships, puberty, and sexual well-being, while fostering an environment of trust and respect.

Whether you're starting the conversation for the first time or looking to build on previous discussions, this workshop will equip you with the knowledge and communication skills to support your child's sexual health education in a thoughtful and responsible way. Join us for a safe, non-judgmental space to learn, share, and connect with other parents.

Facilitated by Tuval and Tamar:

Tuval Dinner Nafshi (he/him) is the Prevention Coordinator for the City of St Albert. Tuval is committed to working with men and boys to give them the tools to dream of a world in which their compassion, empathy, nurturing capacity and respect for themselves and others is valued and encouraged.

Tamar Dinner (she/her) MSW,RSW, has been working in the field of healthy relationships for over a decade. She has a range of experience from working with kids in afterschool recreation programs, teaching sexual and reproductive health to teens and adults, and most recently working as a mental health therapist with Edmonton Public Schools. What she loves most is sharing her expertise and curiosity around healthy relationships and sexuality while inviting people to (re)discover their existing confidence and personal insights.
