ICELAND AIRWAVES PARTNER EVENTEmerging from a hiatus, the Icelandic Emilíana Torrini is back! Along with a brand new single ‘Let’s Keep Dancing’, she announced her up-and-coming album ‘Miss Flower’, which will be out June 21st. We are beyond excited to invite you to join Emilíana’s journey as she unveils the intricate tapestry of her brand-new and deeply personal album.
Discovered singing in a restaurant in Reykjavík, Emilíana Torrini first made waves with her vocals on GusGus’ debut album ‘Polydistortion’ in 1997. After relocating to London, she co-wrote Kylie Minogue’s singles ‘Someday’ and ‘Slow’—for which she landed a Grammy nomination. You may best know her from ‘Gollum’s Song’ (2002), which she wrote for Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers, or her hit single ‘Jungle Drum’ (2009). After a series of breathtaking solo albums that earned her a reputation as one of the industry’s most prolific collaborators, her newest album ‘Miss Flower’ may be her most personal one yet.
