EMERGE125 2026 Renaissance Gala Performance

, a Black, female-led dance company based in Harlem, presents its 2026 NYC Season, celebrating 10 years of Artistic Director Tiffany Rea-Fisher’s leadership. This season features three dynamic new works choreographed by Rea-Fisher, exploring themes of progressive social change through powerful, physically charged movement.

• The May 1 performance functions as part of EMERGE125’s . Tickets purchased on Eventbrite will be Performance Only tickets for the 6:30-7:30pm performance. The Gala performance features a shortened program that includes live music by the New York Youth Symphony and an Awards Ceremony. Featured Works:

• Migrate (World Premiere) – A moving exploration of natural migration and global immigration, set to a newly commissioned chamber music score by Jackson A. Waters, performed live by the New York Youth Symphony (May 1 only).
• Protest (World Premiere) – A bold collaboration uniting movement and sound that embodies the tensions and resilience of protest and resistance.
• Grizzly/Monarch (Work and Title-In-Progress) – An interdisciplinary work imagining the rewilding and future of the California Grizzly bear, created in partnership with the California Grizzly Alliance and environmental awareness non-profit Vildwerk.
