If you support people through stress, trauma, pain, anxiety, burnout, or nervous system overwhelm—this training is for you.
Embodied Trauma Skills Training: Intro / Phase 1 is the foundation of my professional training pathway: a trauma-informed, body-based approach to understanding the nervous system through sensation, movement, boundaries, and pacing.
This isn’t a “fix people” training.
This is a capacity-building training—for you and for the people you support.
In 2026, this training is also being structured as a clearer professional pathway with hours and curriculum being tracked in support of ISMETA (International Somatic Movement Education & Therapy Association) education-hour requirements and core competency development.
What you’ll learn
• Somatic literacy: sensation, emotion, meaning (without pushing past safety)
• Nervous system basics in real practice: pacing, dose, titration, resourcing
• Trauma-informed facilitation language: cueing that creates choice
• Boundaries + consent skills: how to support without over-riding
• Working with freeze / collapse / fawn / fight-flight through the body
• How to track and respond when a system shifts (without panic or performance)
Who it’s for
Caring professionals and practitioners, including (but not limited to):
therapists, counsellors, psychologists, bodyworkers, yoga/meditation teachers, coaches, educators, health providers, community support workers, and facilitators who want to become more confident working with trauma physiology and embodied regulation.
What you’ll leave with
• A stronger nervous system lens + clearer somatic language
• Repeatable practices you can integrate into your current scope
• More confidence holding real human nervous system moments
• Training hours + certificate of completion (details provided)
