Welcome to Floating Frequencies - Calgary’s Floating Sound Bath experience at The Westin.Step into a dreamlike evening of sound and wellness at The Westin’s newly renovated top floor pool in Downtown Calgary.
At Floating Frequencies, you can choose your experience by choosing to float weightlessly on an air mattress on the pool, relax in a cabana for two, or relax in a lounge chairs poolside during a soothing sound bath. Allowing the tones of crystal singing bowls, chimes, ocean drums, and gong to carry you into deep relaxation, enhanced by the gentle movement of water.
Sound healing works through a process called entrainment where the brain and body naturally begin to synchronize with external rhythmic vibrations. Instruments like crystal bowls and gongs produce frequencies that can encourage a shift from active brain states (like beta waves) into slower, restorative states (alpha and theta waves), which are linked to relaxation, meditation, and deep rest.
When experienced in water, these vibrations travel even more efficiently through the body, since sound moves about four times faster in water than in air. This allows the tones to be felt not only in the ears, but also through the skin, muscles, and nervous system. Promoting relaxation and supporting the body’s natural healing response.

What to bring:
Comfortable clothing
Optional change of clothes (this session is intended to be dry, but we recommend bringing a change of clothes in case of incident).
Doors will be open to arrive between 6:50–7:15 PM
Please note: Due to the setup and nature of the experience, we cannot accommodate early or late arrivals. We kindly request you arrive within this timeframe to attend the sound bath.
