Embodied Intimacy is what happens when the masks come off and we feel secure enough to express ourselves with ease and authenticity.
So how do we get there?
How do we, as a group of more-or-less strangers, come to feel like kin, in 2.5 hours?
This is the power of Circle.
But this isn't a traditional talking-stick, one at a time, kind of circle.
An Embodied Intimacy Circle moves in rhythm with the group aliveness.
With sensitively attuned facilitation, we create a space of trust, in which you can feel courageous enough to be vulnerable - to express what may often feel like "too much."
We begin with a warm-up to quiet the mind and land in our bodies.
Then, we set the container with our agreements in order to establish a foundation of coherence.
From there, the mystery unfolds. No script.
We feel how and through whom the energy in our group wants to be expressed.
We facilitate with gentle cues and curious questions.
We invite every person in the Circle to be fully engaged, holding space when you have capacity, and asking to be held when you need.
What we've discovered through leading this workshop over the years is that people walk away with some profound effects:
- Greater sensitivity both to feeling and understanding your emotions
- Release shame around being "too much" or "taking up too much space"
- Embodied knowing of intimacy that ripples into every relationship
- Courage to be bold and authentic and express what's truly alive in the moment
Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start right on time.
Doors close at 3pm.
Every minute of this workshop is precious, and we need a tight container to do this work.
