What is it?
EMBODIED is yoga class meets wild animal dance party.
It's an invitation to explore your body's natural movement, connect with others & feel what it's like to be fully alive in your body in the safety of a loving community.
The Flow
6pm Warmup // get present in your body w/ some guided breathwork, stretching and light movement
6:25 Opening Circle // a moment of intention setting to get us all on the same page before we get down
6:30 WE DANCE // live DJ set w/ BOOMKAT - tunes range from downtempo tribal electronica to tech house with plenty of latin & afro beats in the mix
8 Closing // a space to share and connect with each other
Our Guidelines:
BE YOU: Freedom to move however the heck you want
BE PRESENT: No cell phones
HONOR THE DANCE: Keep conversations off the dance floor
PRACTICE CONSENT: Be mindful of the personal space of others and ask for consent before touching anyone
What to bring + wear?
❤ Water will be provided, but please bring a drinking vessel!
❤ Dress comfortably and ready to move (think yoga or workout clothes) - honestly, it doesn't matter as long as you feel good & unrestricted
❤ You're invited to dance in socks or barefoot - if you feel you must wear shoes, please bring something clean and soft
