About this Event
ELF — East London Festival of Creative Health is a four-day celebration of art, community and wellbeing, taking place at Four Corners Gallery in Bethnal Green from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 16 May 2026.
At the heart of the festival is a free exhibition exploring creative health — bringing together photography, artwork and stories that show how creativity improves people's lives and wellbeing in our communities.
The festival also marks the launch of Creative Health: In Practice — a book bringing together artists, researchers from Queen Mary University of London, and community practitioners — alongside a set of 52 photography assignment cards, a practical creative health tool.
On opening night, Thursday 14 May, come and join us for:
- A quiet hour to explore the exhibition at your own pace (17:00–18:00)
- A warm welcome from our partners and collaborators (18:00–18:30)
- A short reading from Creative Health: In Practice (18:30–18:45)
- A shared meal and informal gathering with free food and drinks (18:45–20:00)
It's a chance to meet the artists, practitioners and community members behind the work — and to be part of a growing conversation about the role of creativity in health and wellbeing.
Joining us for opening night? Please register so we can make sure there's enough food and drinks for everyone. It's free.
