About this Event
Overview:
Burnout has become an organizational crisis, quietly undermining productivity, innovation and employee well-being. This one-day conference moves beyond discussion to action, bringing together leaders in mental health, executive leadership and medicine to offer a 360-degree view of the issue. Attendees will gain insight into the roots of burnout, the role of empathetic leadership and practical, evidence-based strategies for building resilience and driving organizational change. SHRM members will earn four credits for attending.
Objective:
In the current global labor market, burnout has transitioned from a personal health issue to a primary organizational risk and a significant driver of attrition. For HR professionals, addressing burnout is no longer just about offering "perks"; it is about Stewardship of Human Capital and Risk Management.
This conference provides HR practitioners with the strategic tools to move beyond surface-level wellness. By utilizing the Wellness Wheel framework through an equity-centered lens, HR leaders will use this diagnostic tool to learn to identify the systemic drivers of "weathering" and chronic stress that disproportionately affect diverse talent.
This session directly aligns with the SHRM BASKâ„¢ by teaching HR professionals how to:
1. Audit Total Rewards: Transitioning EAPs from generic offerings to culturally competent, trauma-informed interventions.
2. Mitigate Retention Risk: Leveraging psychological safety and servant leadership to stabilize the workforce.
3. Ensure Compliance & Inclusion: Bridging the gap between clinical wellness and formal workplace accommodations (ADA/FMLA).
By equipping HR leaders to operationalize these frameworks, this conference ensures that wellness initiatives drive organizational effectiveness, reduce turnover costs, and builds a sustainable culture of belonging.
