Elevate Hosts Vamos Theatre - Listening With Your Eyes Workshop

Join Elevate on TUESDAY, 11/4/25, 5-7pm for Listening with your Eyes, a FREE, dynamic, hands-on workshop that promotes skills of empathy, insight, listening and trust-building, helping us to make real and honest connections in dementia care.

Suitable for all experiences, Listening with your Eyes explores practically the many ways in which we make connections, with the emphasis on the non-verbal. It looks at the impact of body language, mood, eye-contact, touch, and gesture, and shows how tone of voice can change the meaning of the words we say. The workshop offers an opportunity for participants to see the powerful effect of non-verbal techniques in caring for people living with dementia.
Listening with your Eyes is suitable for anyone interested in dementia care and creating positive interactions with people living with dementia. Past participants include care home staff, doctors, nurses, police, family support workers, teachers, receptionists and transport drivers.
