Elevate HER: Healing, Empowerment and Rest. Women’s Health Symposium

The event is being hosted by William Osler Health System’s Inclusion and Belonging Team and employee resource group-The Black Excellence Network, in partnership with the Black Health and Social Services Hub Peel.

Elevate HER (Healing, Empowering and Rest) is a women’s health symposium for women who identify as African, Black-Canadian and Caribbean to improve their health and well-being. It also serves as a space to connect to health and social services that are culturally affirming and create networks with other women.

The discussions throughout the day will build on evidence from the Black Women’s Institute for Health, “Voices Unheard” report that documented Black women’s health and experiences when accessing care. Please read the report to learn more.

Activities will include guest speakers, group discussions, interactive sessions and serve as a call to action to improve Black women’s health outcomes.
