Outsound Presents the SIMM Series featuring pianist, poet, physician, and composer Eki'Shola and the solo work of composer Amanda Chaudhary.

7:30 pm Amanda Chaudhary - keyboards/electronicsAmanda Chaudhary is a composer, bandleader, electronic musician, jazz keyboardist, and visual/sound artist. She is also the author of the popular blog CatSynth and its companion video channel CatSynth TV, where she discusses music, art, culture, and of course, cats. She performs regularly around the Bay Area, New York, and beyond, both solo and with various bands and ensembles. Her solo work involves experimenting with innovative sounds via analog synthesis and custom software with computers and mobile devices for new modes of expressive musical performance. https://amandachaudhary.bandcamp.com/

8:30 pm Eki Shola - voice/piano, Justin Ciechoski - drumsBorn in London to Jamaican parents, Eki Shola was raised in a musical family. She emigrated to New York in 1987 and later as a pre-med student at Cornell University, she played in the jazz ensemble performing with legendary musicians such as Steve Turre and Dr. Donald Byrd. Now living in Northern California, Eki Shola released her debut album, Final Beginning, in 2016 and the album has been reviewed, charted, and aired around the world. ASCAP Plus winner and three-time NorBay Music awardee (2017-2019) for Best Electronica Artist, Eki Shola has played across the San Francisco Bay Area, London, and New York City and has opened for various artists including Kitaro, Georgia Anne Muldrow, Bebel Gilberto, DakhaBrakha, Baraka Moon, Sammy J, Lucky Otis, and Habib Koité. https://ekishola.bandcamp.com/
