Welcome to the Edinburgh Women into Work Jobs Fair!


An event for unemployed women (including transgender women and non-binary people).

Join us at Greyfriars Kirk for a day filled with opportunities. Whether you're looking for your first job, returning to work after a break, or just some advice on your next steps, this event is for you.

  • Connect with top employers looking to hire talented women like you.
  • Speak to the friendly Smart Works Scotland team, who can offer you free ongoing support for your job search, including interview clothing and coaching.

Employers and support organisations include...

Edinburgh Airport: where Edinburgh meets the world. Come and join 7000 staff working in a wide variety of roles. Recognised as a Disability Confident Leader employer.

Mitie: the UK's leading facilities management company with vacancies such as cleaning, security and many more available.

The Civil Service: Civil servants are part of your local community and all around the UK, providing essential services that help, improve and save lives. Various administrative officer and executive officer roles available across the departments, as well as information about the graduate scheme.

Police Scotland : Police Scotland Positive Action Team support candidates from various underrepresented groups including Women, BME and Foreign Nationals who are considering a career in Policing.

NHS Lothian: advertising their vacancies in the Health Records; Support Services (Catering, Domestics, Portering, Driving, etc.) and Occupational Therapy departments and chatting about the NHS application process.

NHS 24: Roles available in contact centres. This services connect people and patients with vital care and support – providing everything from mental health services to urgent care, practical advice to information services.

Health & Social Care Agencies: we will have several agencies advertising Care Assistant vacancies where you will support people at home.

ScotRail: will be advertising their Train Driver vacancies and are keen to support more women into their workforce

Lothian : will be advertising their bus and tram driver vacancies

One Parent Families Scotland: the leading charity working with single parent families in Scotland. They provide expert advice, practical support and campaign with parents to make their voices heard.

Flexible Working Scotland: a community of nearly 23k people looking to work flexibly, recruit flexibility and advocate for greater flexibility and equality at work. Come and hear about how to join to find out about vacancies that offer flexible working.
